Handwoven on traditional looms in Phulia, this exquisite cotton Jamdani saree showcases the artistry of Bengal’s master weavers. The soft mint-green body is decorated with delicate woven floral vines, dotted motifs, and beautifully detailed borders in a striking shade of pink. The saree is ethereally light and comfortable to wear in summers.

Unlike printed designs, the motifs are woven directly into the fabric through the labour-intensive Jamdani technique, creating a saree rich in texture, depth, and craftsmanship. The elegant tasselled pallu adds movement and charm, making Moushumi a versatile choice for cultural gatherings, festive celebrations, workwear, and elegant everyday dressing.

The Art of Phulia Jamdani

Phulia, located in Nadia district of West Bengal, is internationally known for preserving and evolving the centuries-old Jamdani weaving tradition. Jamdani weaving involves the painstaking insertion of supplementary threads by hand to create intricate motifs directly within the fabric.

The result is a textile that is lightweight yet richly detailed, where every motif reflects the skill, patience, and artistry of the weaver.
